Our work together
If you are experiencing feelings of anxiety, stress or depression, I offer a calm, welcoming space where you can talk about what’s troubling you. It could be relationship difficulties at home, with friends or at work, or simply a sense that something doesn’t feel right in your life - our sessions together are for you to explore things at your pace, without judgment.
As a person-centred counsellor, I do not claim to be an expert in your life. I will though, through building a relationship based on trust, understanding and genuine acceptance, accompany you in such a way, for you to feel safe enough to speak your truth. Often, the act of being truly heard is where the shift begins.
As we work together, what once seemed impenetrable, can seem to loosen up and patterns revealed that may be holding you back. For many, the feeling of being "stuck" transforms into a sense of possibility along with the opportunity to step into their potential. I hope it might be for you too.
I invite you to book a free introductory call or zoom. This is a relaxed opportunity for us to meet, discuss what brings you here, and see if my approach feels like the right fit for your journey.
"I would have no hesitation recommending Martin. In our sessions, Martin met me with warmth, care and thoughtfulness. He helped me think through a dilemma by encouraging me to trust that I had the answers within myself." Sarah F.
"Thank you for letting me be me. But most of all helping me be stronger" Client, Islington

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor, trained at the Metanoia Institute in London. Alongside my private practice, I counsel with a mental health charity in North London and volunteer with a national online psychotherapy network, providing support to adults from all walks of life.
Before transitioning into therapy, I qualified as a Therapeutic Wellbeing Practitioner, working within schools and supporting families through a charity for survivors of domestic abuse.
My professional journey also includes experience as a TEFL teacher, a professional actor, and an artist; these diverse experiences allow me to bring a creative and open-minded approach to my therapeutic work.
Each session lasts 50 minutes and my fees are as follows:
